Free Genealogy Classes!
A series of genealogy classes designed for beginners, but with information useful to all researchers, is currently being offered by the Family History Center, 45 E. Par Street (Corner of Par & Formosa), Orlando. Classes are being taught by members of Central Florida Genealogical Society.

Next CFGS General Meeting: Thursday, September 9, 2010: Be there when our evening monthly meetings resume. (Meanwhile our Daytime Series and Computer User Group will continue meeting over the summer.)
   
Where: Family History Center, 45 E. Par Street (Corner of Par & Formosa), Orlando. General meetings usually feature a speaker covering topics of interest to genealogy and local history researchers. This is followed by a social break, then a short business meeting. Also on hand at the meetings are our local society's publications including numerous local cemetery books, indexes of library collections and much more. Visitors and guests always welcome. Open to the public.
 
BE THERE EARLY at 7:00 p.m. for our mini-classes preceding our General meetings. More details on our monthly meetings
 
(Please note: Although the Central Florida Genealogical Society currently holds meetings at an LDS church, it is in no way affiliated with the organization or mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.)
Next CFGS Daytime Meeting:
Thursday September 23, 2010, 2:00 p.m. "Internet Social Networks" A look at the popular social networking websites, such as Facebook, and their usefulness in family research. Public welcome.
Meeting will be held at the University Club of Winter Park, 841 Park Avenue North, Winter Park.

Next CFGS Computer Interest Group meeting: Saturday morning, October 9, 2010, 10:00 a.m.
General discussion and questions and answers regarding genealogy and technology, including software, Internet usage, etc. Where: Seminole County Library Central Branch, 215 N. Oxford Rd., Casselberry (map)
PLUS -join us for lunch after the meeting.
