The Pastfinders Genealogical Society in Clermont is Holding an Open House Saturday, February 25th

pastfinders-open-houseThe Pastfinders Genealogical Society is hosting an Open House so you can learn more about what we can offer you. On Saturday, February 25th stop in between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm come by and learn what we are all about. This event gives you the opportunity to talk with our knowledgeable members and to learn how to research your family's history. Discovering your grandparents on a census record or finding which one of your great grandfather fought in World War I after immigrating from another country. There will be free handouts and refreshments. Come learn what makes you who you are and what brought you to where you are today. Let us help you experience the thrill of discovery.

The Open House takes place in Cooper Memorial Library's Community Room, 2525 Oakley Seaver Dr. in Clermont. Call 352-242-9805 for information.

Do you want to know more about your family's history, but don't know where to start? Then this is the class for you. All are welcome.

The class will be held in the LDS Cultural Hall, 4020 S. Bumby Ave., Orlando, FL 32806 Location Map Please enter through the main entrance on the north side of the building.

2017 Pinellas Genealogy Society Seminar Presents Lisa Louise Cooke

lisa-louise-cookeThe Annual Pinellas Genealogy Society Seminar, co-sponsored by the Largo Public Library, is scheduled for 25 February 2017 at the Largo Public Library from 8 am to 4 pm. The library is located at 120 Central Park Drive, Largo, FL.

This all-day event features Lisa Louise Cooke, the primary speaker, as well as three breakout speakers. Lisa’s four presentations will deal with (1) Google tools and procedures for solving family history mysteries, (2) getting the scoop on your ancestors with newspapers, (3) nine strategies for finding living relatives, and (4) future technology and genealogy--five strategies you need.
